The Ship It Club runs live group Work Gyms: declare a target in front of the room, work in focused 25-minute cycles, and log what shipped. The app is built. Now we need real humans in the room, so beta Work Gyms are free in exchange for your honest feedback.
The work you're avoiding isn't hard, it's uncomfortable. So you reach for the inbox, the feed, the "research." The first step is always the hardest, and alone at your desk there's nothing forcing it. Willpower was never going to fix that. A room full of people who just watched you declare your target? That fixes it in about ninety seconds.
Pick one real target, define what done means, and name what usually derails you. Then type it where the whole room can see.
Three focused cycles with cameras on, mics off, and the tracker running, plus a five-minute reset between them to check energy, adjust, and go again.
You call each cycle yes, half, or no, and every cycle gets logged honestly. That log becomes your ship rate and your proof.
Note what shipped, what bogged you down, and what's worth repeating. You close the loop, celebrate the room's wins, and finish before your next meeting.
Every productivity app name-drops the science. The protocol is the science, with four mechanisms running in every session:
You commit to a first action before the timer starts. The hardest step gets decided in advance, not negotiated in the moment.
Your goal is on the wall with your name on it. Declaring an intention to a group measurably raises follow-through.
Two taps per cycle. Over weeks, you learn when you're at your best and stop scheduling deep work when you're not.
A verdict every 25 minutes gives you fast, honest feedback instead of end-of-day guilt, and it's how the ship rate stays real.
Focus apps brag about minutes spent and sessions attended. The outcome is shipped work, not attendance. Every cycle you log feeds your personal ship rate, your daily activity ribbon, and the community's weekly number, which we publish every week, hit or miss.
Tracked per session, per week, and all-time. Watch it respond to sleep, timing, and target size: your personal operating manual, written by data.
A GitHub-style activity graph for real work. One shade for one session, deeper for two. No breakable streaks or guilt mechanics, just the record.
Every target in the room, live, with results as they land. The facilitator sees who's flying and who's stuck, and says so.
The protocol is built on Work Cycles, the method behind Ultraworking's legendary Work Gym, where members routinely reported doing a day's work in a morning. The company is gone, but the method never stopped working. We rebuilt it as a live club with a real app, no spreadsheet required.
No card, no trial clock, no fine print. Beta is how we find what's broken before we charge anyone, so the only currency we accept is honest feedback.
The sessions run for real and the tracker works end to end: targets, cycles, reviews, stats. Beta means you'll occasionally meet a rough edge, and when you do, we want to hear about it. Fixes usually ship within days, and you'll watch the product get better because you said something.
Feedback is the payment. We'd rather iron out the bugs with thirty honest people than charge two hundred strangers for rough edges. When we launch paid membership, beta testers get first claim on the free founding seats. The only condition is that you keep showing up.
Pomodoro is a timer. This is a timer plus declared targets, a first-action commitment, energy tracking, a public room, a per-cycle verdict, and a debrief. The steps are the point: they're the difference between time spent and work shipped.
Yes. Mics off, cameras on. The room only works if you're in it; that's the accountability you're here for. (You're muted the whole time; nobody hears your keyboard.)
Then you'll be the first person in your life to know that for certain, and the data will show you why: wrong targets, wrong time of day, targets too big. A 60% ship rate you can see beats a 100% fantasy you can't. We publish our community number every week for the same reason.
Beta Work Gyms run at times that work across US, UK and EU time zones, currently around 8:00am ET / 1:00pm UK / 2:00pm CET. You'll get the exact schedule by email when you grab a seat, and your availability helps us pick the slots.
It's the same core protocol (cycles, targets, energy and morale, debriefs) rebuilt from scratch as an app and a live club. We're not affiliated with Ultraworking; we're the people who missed it too much to let the method die.
Leave your email and we'll send the beta schedule, the Zoom link, and one page on how to prepare for your first Work Gym. Beyond the Work Gym tracker app, you'll be invited to our community and productivity courses on Skool, included with your beta seat.
